Terms of Service
Please read these terms before using WorkUp. By creating an account or using the site you agree to them.

1. About these terms
WorkUp is an online marketplace operated by SolutionSwift (“we”, “us”). These terms apply to everyone who visits or uses WorkUp, including employers, freelancers and guests. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. What WorkUp is
WorkUp lets employers publish jobs and lets freelancers publish profiles, apply to jobs and talk to each other. We are a platform only. We are not a party to any agreement between an employer and a freelancer, we do not employ freelancers, and we do not guarantee any job, hire, payment or result.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian, and be able to enter a binding agreement.
- Each account is either an Employer or a Freelancer account, and one person should have one account.
- You must give accurate information and keep your password secret. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
4. Cost
Posting jobs is free for employers and will remain free. We may introduce optional paid features in the future, for example for freelancers who want to unlock contact details or for promotion. We will explain any charge clearly before you pay, and we will not charge you for something that was free when you used it.
5. Jobs and profiles
- Post only real, lawful work that you are entitled to offer. Describe it honestly, including the budget, place and what is expected.
- Do not post the same job repeatedly, or from several accounts, to gain attention. We detect and may remove duplicates.
- Jobs are shown for 30 days unless you renew them. You may close or edit your jobs at any time.
- Freelancers must describe their skills, experience and rates truthfully and must have the right to use any photos or text they upload.
6. Applications, messages and agreements
Applications and chat are for discussing work. Any agreement about scope, price, schedule and payment is made directly between the employer and the freelancer. Agree these in writing before work starts. We do not hold money, and we are not responsible for late, missing or disputed payments or for the quality of work. Use your own judgement and take sensible precautions, especially before meeting someone or paying in advance.
7. Reviews
Only an employer who has accepted a freelancer’s application can review that freelancer. Reviews must be honest, based on real work, and must not contain abuse, threats, private information or false statements. A review can be edited for 14 days, the freelancer may reply once, and we may hide reviews that break these terms. Offering or taking payment for a review, or trading reviews, is not allowed.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- break the law or ask others to do so, or offer illegal, adult, dangerous or deceptive work;
- harass, threaten, discriminate against or impersonate anyone;
- ask for payment to apply for a job, or run schemes such as pyramid, advance fee or fake recruitment;
- collect other people’s data, scrape the site, or send spam;
- upload malware, interfere with the service, or try to access accounts or data that are not yours;
- use WorkUp to take people or work off the platform in a way that misleads them.
9. Reports and moderation
Anyone can report a job, profile, review or conversation. Moderators may review reported content, including the text of a reported chat conversation, and may hide content, send a warning, suspend or remove an account, with a reason. We act in good faith but we are not obliged to monitor all content. Decisions can be questioned by emailing us.
10. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, copy and share it on WorkUp and in search results so the service can work, for as long as it is on the platform. You promise that you have the right to post it and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights.
11. Our rights
The WorkUp name, logo, design and software belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them without permission. We may change, suspend or stop any part of the service, and we may remove content or close accounts that break these terms or harm others.
12. Disclaimers and liability
WorkUp is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error free, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost income or profit, or for anything that happens between users, whether online or offline. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Ending your account
You can stop using WorkUp and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Some records, such as reports, moderation history and messages needed to resolve a complaint, may be kept as described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. When we make an important change we will tell you on the site or by email. If you keep using WorkUp after the change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law of your country of residence gives you rights that cannot be waived.
